Our work against corruption

The Swedish Arts Council works on commission from Swedish citizens and we have high requirements on our operations being legal, transparent, efficient, legally secure, predictable, and homogeneous.

As a Government authority we have a special responsibility to work in an objective and unbiased manner and to work against all forms of bribes and corruption. Therefore, we have developed clear guidelines to assist us in our daily work.

The Swedish Arts Council's guidelines against corruption describe the definition of a bribe, when a person is disqualified, and how to manage conflicts of loyalty and interest. In addition, we describe our work on preventing corruption by, for example, work rotation, information work, and the principle of two people always revising each grant application.

The Swedish Arts Council works to prevent and deter corruption. The work is concluded in the Swedish Arts Council's guidelines against corruption.
