Circus
Opa Fashion is a multidisciplinary performing arts production that integrates contemporary circus and music through the use of newly created instruments. The project is currently in a phase where international dissemination and in-depth exchange are crucial for its continued artistic development. Through encounters with new audiences, organisers, and artistic communities, the project aims to strengthen its development and increase the international visibility of Swedish independent performing arts. At the Berlin Circus Festival, Opa Fashion will present three performances aimed at international organisers, producers, and bookers during the festival’s pro days. These will serve as both artistic presentations and a showcase for further tour development. Participation at CINARS is planned to include a performance as well as industry meetings. Participation is planned at several other venues over the coming year, pending confirmation of the invitation by CINARS 9-15 November in Montreal, Canada.
Dance
CINARS is one of the world’s leading platforms and hubs for the performing arts. The announcement of the productions selected for the official programme is expected in spring 2026. In consultation with the Swedish Arts Council, Norberg Movement has applied for funding to participate in the official programme. If the production is not selected for the official programme, the plan is instead to stage a presentation as part of the off-programme.
Should the application be successful, Säfsten Produktion will collaborate closely with CINARS on implementation, or alternatively establish a partnership with a local organisation to stage an off-programme presentation. For productions in the official programme, CINARS is responsible for contextualisation, invitations to international organisers, and practical arrangements such as venue and technical support. CINARS will take place from 9-15 November in Montreal, Canada.
Dance
In 2026, MADEIN's network will make a joint international contribution at the well-known biennial CINARS in Montreal 9-14 November. Twelve members and groups, totalling around 20 participants, will be present to showcase their work, forge new connections, and foster international collaborations. Planning will take place together with project leader Åsa Edgren in spring.
Dance
Art of Spectra (AOS) plans to participate in CINARS to present DYAD and promote AOS productions for international guest performances and tours. Activities are being planned in consultation with MADEIN and Åsa Edgren. During CINARS (5-8 November), Ulriqa Fernqvist (dancer and producer) will be present at the booth primarily, together with Peter Svenzon. One dancer will stay in Canada for 4-5 days, while another dancer and the artistic director will stay for 8-9 days.
Participation in CINARS includes performing DYAD, pitching AOS productions for international guest performances and tours, and establishing new collaborations with international artists, venues and networks. It also includes market analysis, as well as deepening and developing existing collaborations.
