Prize Winners for Best Literary Debut

The 2021 prize winners of The Swedish Writers’ Union’s award The Catapult Prize for best Swedish debut and Borås Daily Newspaper’s Debut Award is now announced.

Every year The Swedish Writers’ Union award The Catapult Prize (Katapultpriset) for best Swedish fiction debut. The 2021 prize winner was announced during Umeå’s International Literature Festival Littfest.

This year the prize was shared between the two writers Hanna Johansson and Erik Lindman Mata. Hanna Johansson for her first novel Antiken and Erik Lindman Mata for his collection of poems Pur. Erik Lindman Mata was also the winner of the 2021 Borås Daily Newspaper’s Debut Award.
